Consecutive and Simultaneous Translations
Prowords employs only the best interpreters and translators to set up and perform Simultaneous and/or Consecutive Interpreting services and our professionals are backed up by a specialized team fully dedicated to the area of events, best support and supervision in all project steps, regardless of your event size.
The main difference between Simultaneous and Consecutive Interpreting is that the former demands the use of equipment while the latter dismisses such dependence and can also be performed by a single interpreter, usually positioned next to the lecturer, translating the message in parts, always after the speaker.
On the other hand, Simultaneous Interpreting promotes the communication between speaker and audience, in a natural and continuous way, allowing all attendees to express themselves in their own native languages and to hear the translations through headsets. In the Consecutive Interpreting two individuals never speak at the same time and therefore, it usually takes double the time and does not allow a natural fluency during a presentation. This service causes the event to be longer and sometimes tiresome, for both the speaker and guests.
Our facilities are equipped with the latest technological infrastructure required to enable our interpreters to research and study the subjects that will be addressed in your event, whatever it is.
Prowords promotes the continuous improvement of its processes, as it is fully committed to reach the best results in the market in order to offer top quality and cost-effective translation services.
Prowords also employs support equipment for Simultaneous Interpreting services, such as booths, receivers and headsets, transmitters, interpreter consoles, in addition to a variety of sounding devices (speakers, sound desk, microphones: handheld, wireless, lapel, headset, gooseneck).
Most frequent languages
Prowords’ Simultaneous and Consecutive Interpreters have mastered the following languages: English, Spanish, French and Italian, which are considered the most usual languages found in such events, but also included others less common in its portfolio such as German, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and many others upon request.
